The secret is in the handy dust cap: the pump tube holds a hose that can be pulled out and screwed onto the valve head to ensure that the Presta valves are completely sealed. The flexible hose gives you plenty of scope for pumping pressures up to 8 bar. This not only protects the valve on the bike but also makes it easier to use.
