Fidlock Vacuum ahead cap base

FIDLOCK VACUUM Ahead Cap Base is an innovative smartphone mount designed for installation on the bike’s ahead cap (stem cap). It offers a clean, secure, and removable solution for mounting your phone directly on the bike, while keeping the cockpit minimal when the mount is not in use.

A special ahead cap is screwed onto the head tube, after which the VACUUM base is placed on top and secured using a clamp – either with a knurled screw for quick removal or an Allen screw for theft protection. When the smartphone mount is not needed, the VACUUM base can be quickly removed while the plain ahead cap remains permanently installed on the bike.

How the VACUUM System Works

The magnetic counterpart is located on the smartphone:

• either integrated into a FIDLOCK VACUUM smartphone case, or

• attached via a VACUUM adhesive patch on an existing phone case.

The magnetic force automatically centers the smartphone on the mount, ensuring optimal vacuum suction and preventing the device from slipping. If forces exceed the magnetic attraction, the vacuum suction provides additional security. The smartphone is released simply by pressing the lever on the side of the mount.

Thanks to the intuitive combination of magnetic force and negative pressure, the smartphone can be attached and removed with one hand, rotated 360°, and securely held in place by a ball detent that prevents rotation while riding.
