Electric gravel bikes
Electric gravel bikes are drop-bar bikes with wide tyres and an integrated motor, built for long rides on mixed surfaces – tarmac, gravel and forest tracks. The motor only assists while you pedal, so the ride stays natural while climbs and headwinds stop dictating the route.
Compared with a regular gravel bike they are heavier and pricier, but let you cover a considerably longer route in the same time. When choosing, look at the battery capacity (Wh) and motor torque (Nm) – they determine the range and how much help you get on climbs.
