The SCOTT Scale is a cross-country hardtail with a carbon frame. Bikes like this are fastest where you have to climb and hold a pace: there is no rear shock, so no pedal stroke is wasted. The frame has an adjustable head angle, so you can choose whether it behaves calmly on descents or sharply in corners.
The dropper post lets you drop the saddle with a lever before a descent instead of stopping. Cables run inside the frame and the derailleur hanger is a replaceable UDH.
