Frame and fork

Carbon hardtail frame, size M, recommended for riders 170–180 cm tall. Up front a RockShox SID SL Select air fork with 100 mm of travel that soaks up roots and rocks and can be firmed up on tarmac.

Drivetrain

SRAM GX Eagle AXS wireless electronic shifting. The AXS Rocker Pod controller mounts on the bar and there are no cables at all, so shifting does not care about mud or weather. XG-1275 10-50T cassette, GX Eagle DUB crankset with a single 32T ring, SRAM CN GX Eagle chain.

Brakes

SRAM Guide RE hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors. These are strong four-piston brakes derived from e-MTB use, so there is power to spare.

Wheels and tyres

DT Swiss X1900 rims with a 25 mm internal width and Schwalbe Rapid Rob 29x2.25 tyres. The combination rolls well on forest tracks and is not troubled by loose stones.
