This means that the cables are well protected from precipitation and other off-road hazards, and there are plenty of off-road hazards. You can rest assured that the whole system will last you much longer. For off-road riding, shock absorption is key, which is why the Scott Scale 980 has a shock absorbing front šeye. The Suntour X 100mm front šeye has an open/lock switch on the handlebars that allows you to switch the damping travel. With this feature you can ride more efficiently and enjoy different terrain more. The bike is equipped with a Shimano Deore group for mountain bikes. The system has 12 gears that work fast and smoothly, mounted with an 11–51 tooth rear cassette. This gives you a wide range of gears, allowing you to outsprint your friends on steep uphill sections.
